For me it was money toward my college fund. My parents and I had both done some saving for it, but it still wasn't enough so I was grateful for every cent I got.Of course depends if the person is going to college. Or - if you're talking college graduation - the best gift I got there were celebration dinners hosted by friends because I was fresh out of school, still working a crappy job, and sometimes the only time I would get a decent meal was when someone would take me out to dinner. So really - it depends a lot on the type of graduation, the person, their status financially, and their needs for their future. |

| I've always been into chinese calligraphy ( I know, it sounds cliche) and a friend of mine had my name written in chinese writing in my favorite color and had it beautifully framed and matted for me. I love it and it's a gift that I can look at and appreciate everyday. |

| When I graduated from college, my grandmother gave me a gift she had received as a wedding gift 40+ years before. It was a small music box, brass and tortoise shell, shaped like a piano. Like her, I play the piano, and minored in music in college. It was the most touching gift I received. It was her way to tell me that she was proud of me. |
