| I recently had surgery and i ruined one of my favorite pairs of shoes because i kept throwing up bloodmy grandparents happend to be on the phone with my mother while she was tending to me and i was quite upset that i had ruined these shoes because they have been through alot with memy grandparents in an effort to brighten my day and because they are some of the kindest human being on this planet sent me a little get well presentit was a check for $35 dollarsi love my grandparents to deathand my grandmothers health is not what is used to bei am very worried for herand i am going to drive up to their house in the next week or so just to pay them a visit one of the things they said in the letter was that they wanted me to buy something pretty and think of them everytime i saw iti nearly cried seeing my grandmother writing in the letter because her normally beautiful hand writing was quite shakey and crookedand she still to the time to write and tell me how much she loved me and hoped that I would feel better soon.My question is,usually I would go buy a pair of shoes or clothesbut this gift seems like it should go towards something beautiful and everlasting just like them any ideas on what I should purchase? |

| At your grandparents age, no material gift will satisfy them. What they have shown and also long for is the love for you. In return, you should also show and provide that love for them as well...One of good gift is to spend time with them on a trip (holiday) or just a simple outing dinner etc.. They will be most happy with the interaction and love that you shine upon them....take care |

| Well, for my grandparents I bought them a gift. Since they tried to make you happy you should do the same.. What I did was I collected all their photos from their life time, their younger years their wedding photos and the family and made a big beautiful album for them. I bought the album from Hallmark they have some pretty ones.. Added little notes and pix that came with the album. My grandmother was so happy she wouldn't stop crying as she looked at the work I had put in.. Do something that will last forever. And please forget about the shoes its just shoes.. |

| ...take the money, and on your way to see your Grandparents, stop and pick up flowers to plant in their yard/flowerbeds....or pick up some potted plants for them to sit outside and enjoy for the summer. ...you are very sweet and I hope you feel better! kjl |
