| im graduating high school this week and i dont know what i should ask for as a gift. i was thinking of asking for a playstation 3 or a macbook. (more so the macbook because i think im gonna need it for college) if anyother suggestions except money(cuz i know im already getting enough of that from people who dont know what to get me) it would be helpful and im open for any suggestionsthanks |

| i also asked myself that question 40 years ago when i graduated from high school ... at that age, all that went into my mind were material things ... things of value, things that were meant to be souvenirs of my high school life ...today, as i tried so hard to remember the 'gifts' that i received during my high school graduation, sad to say, i could not remember even one ...and so i ask again ... if i were to re-live those precious moments, what should have i asked for as a gift?unbelievable, but after some serious thoughts now when i'm old, i wanted to have some serious time alone with my parents ... to ask them dozens, perhaps hundreds of questions about them, their love life, their feelings towards me, their plans, their ambitions, their happiness ...my mom died 24 years ago ... my dad, who is now 83 yrs old, is bedridden because of a stroke ...if i were you, i will ask for some serious quality time, alone with your parents ... to relive those years when you were still a child at their care and ask them all the questions you have about life, and expect really down-to-earth no-holds-barred honest answers...that will be an unforgetttable moment ... |
