| About four weeks ago, I shipped my husband two boxes for father's day. He is stationed in Iraq. One box had snacks and necessary items, while the other box had his father's day gift. I shipped them on the same day, from the same post office, with the same customs forms all filled out completely (one for each box), to the same address. One of the packages got to him a week after I mailed it. The other one arrived back to me yesterday.How the heck does that happen? Does anyone know if the post office will reimburse you for their craziness?I mailed it from the post office to an APO address. There is no APO located near where we live as my husband got called back from the IRR after two years of being out. |

| It depends on why the package was returned. I know if you get a letter back for insufficient postage all you have to do is add the difference and they'll send it off again.Take it to the post office and find out why it came back to you. If it was not due to your error they should be more than happy to resend it for you. |

| Could of just been a mix up at the APO(Army Post Office) but i doubt the Post office will refund any money, same sort of thing happened to me as far as receiving packages here in Germany. All mail to overseas goes through the APO in New York I have had 2 things mailed the same day and one not make it. |

| did you mail apo or did you go to us mail this happend to me a few times especialy if your husband is due to come home soon because they are in the process of changing addresses I had touble with the mail because our last name is common and a few packages got shiped to the wrong fellow as well and he kept returning themI went to the apo they will either offer to reship it no charge or refund your money |
