| Okay, my dad is moving into a new place and I wanted to send him a housewarming gift. Biggest problem is that I am having to mail everything...so I wanna do stuff that's lightweight. That kindda crosses out appliances and candles...I was thinking fire extinguisher, but that's heavy, too. I searched other housewarming questions and just need some new ideas. He wants to buy furniture and decor himself, to finally get matching things the way he wants them, so I can't really help out there. I'm afraid to get him a gift card, cuz he's bad with $$. And he won't walk into a walmart or other large store...Any lightweight ideas for a housewarming gift? |

| What about hiring him a Interior Decorating Consultant, or purchase an item on-line with a company that offers free or low cost shipping. There are a lot of great sites; like overstock.com, for your home or for garden and lawn items, landscapeusa.com. |

| The traditional housewarming gift is a houseplant. Call or go on-line to the florist. |

| You could order him a wickless candle online and have it shipped to his new home. Scentsy's wickless candles make perfect gifts because they use a light bulb to warm the wax and not a flame. Shipping is only 10% of the order so you won't spend a lot to have it shipped. |
