(in the tub or room). What kind of "gift" did you get from the hospital ? some places do pictures some give carseats others give special blankies one place i know of gives birthday/mothers day mini cakes .... So, what was yours like ?If by god i'am pregnant (pray please !! if you pray), i'm thinking water birth and no one in the tub, my husband can stand of to the side silently (i don't like to be touched or spoken to when i'm in pain) |

| I had a drug free vaginal delivery with both of my boys and plan to have one again this time around. With my first son my mom and husband was there. With my second son it was my mom and stepsister there. With this one my mom will be there and my boyfriend is planning to be there as well. With my first son the only "gifts" i got was diapers, wipes and formula to last for a week and a small diaper bag. With my second son I got the diapers, wipes, a blanket handmade by some local seniors, formula and a special breakfast setup for two the day after i had him to celebrate his birth ( I shared it with my first son). |

| Ended up with a non-emergency but medically necessary c-section.Yes I had drugs!! Obviously (but would have had them anyways if I had had a vaginal birth)My husband was in the operating room with me the whole time....even while they put in the spinal block. And after my son's birth, they never took him out of the room....he was within my eyesight the entire time except when he got weighed (which only took like 45 seconds). At my hospital, they didn't really give a "gift". Pictures were available, but you had to pay for them..... they did give us a picture "button" to show us what the picture would have looked like (my poor son had just been circumsized literally 5 minutes before the picture lady came.... needless to say, he was asleep with red puffy eyes from the tears) They did give us a little hat that said something about enjoying the holidays, our baby was born in late November. It was white with a little red fuzzy ball thing on top.... but otherwise....no extra something special.Good luck and lots of baby dust and blessings to you!! |

| I had a C-section with an epidural no pain, no labor and my boyfriend was right there by my side holding my hand through the whole thing. No pain until AFTER the surgery just felt the doctors tugging the baby out. It was a wonderful moment for me. I received all kinds of gifts |

Nubain with my second, didn't work at all, caused his stomach to be pumped at birth because they double dosed me trying to get the medicine to take effect.Just my husband and the nurses and doctor.Carseat, and shirt with the hospital on it. Both kids born at the same hospital in rooms next to each other lol. |

| Vaginal birth with Pitocin and epidural. My husband was there for delivery, I had family in the room prior to delivery and they left when it was 'time' and came back in afterwards. My hospital did not give any 'gifts' but gave us an abundance of diapers and formula etc to take home. |

| 1st birth. No drugs. Labored in the water for awhile but gave birth on land. My husband and my mom were present. Tub was too small for anyone but me. Gifts: I got a diaper bag and a onesie that had "This side up" printed on the front of it. Our pictures cost extra2nd birth. At home. No drugs. Spent most of labor on the toilet and got into the water to push. I was the only one in the tub. No freebies because I was at home. |
