|
|
| My wife has indicated, that she wishes to purchase a gift for her mother's birthday. Sadly, she hasn't a lucid or logical view on matters in hand, so I have suggested one of the following books for her to choose from.1 - Around the world in 900 days.2 - How to remove facial hair.3 - Dummies guide to parachuting.4 - Improve your dress sense in 24 hours.5 - How to drive safely.6 - Forget specsavers, try these.7 - Get slim, stay slim.8 - Family values.Any Ideas? |

| How about buying her a home on the opposite side of the planet, then block her phone calls? |

| Don't get your mom a book.. how lame! And your choice of books..I hope your joking..If you seriously want some help with getting a gift for your mom, get something sentimental. Mom's always appreciate that.. |

| I just bought my mother something that she adored! Women love beautiful jewelry right? but most jewelry is too expensive....there is a way. find a "Avon" brochure and go strait to the jewelry department. gorgeous diamonds , sterling silver, gold and amazingly cheap. i bought my mother a sterling silver ring with a green stone for 20 dollars. she loved it. |

| Sir,This question coming from you is very confusing. Why would you even think of letting your wife spend money on her mother? |

| My dear Sir Blackadder, I understand your reluctance to spend money on a gift for your mother-in-law. After all, she's not YOUR mother & she is responsible for producing that woman you inadvertently married. However, have you ever considered a gift that might, so to say, kill two birds with one stone? Instead of buying the old bat a book about going around the world, why not book her on a round the world cruise accompanied by her darling daughter? That way they will both be out of your hair - and your mansion - for weeks and weeks. Don't you think it might be worth the cost just to get the peace & quiet - not to mention the freedom - this would bring you? Some gifts just keep on giving.... |
