My birthday just ended and I am upset because my b/f didn't buy a gift/flowers/ card or anything. In fact he told me that if I hadn't said anything he would have not even remember anything about it except it was in July. "It's just another day to me"! We have been together for 3 yrs. We both had to work today but even the folks at work bought me a cake, I received numerous phone calls from friends, so that makes me feel better. Just your opinion please?! I do feel hurt as his birthdat is something I try to make special!

Most guys are bad at remembering birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It is not personal, it's a "guy thing". Suck it up.

Listen dear, in a relationship You have to sacrifice many times...........And a relation named love u will have to sacrifce many thing and its a truth..........Like here u will have to sacrifice ur happiness if u want to keep ur relation smooth and haapy...........Dont worry about that if he forgot ur birthday....I know its painful 4 u to bear this......Lt e tell u a way to make him realise that if he would have wished atleast bought a single flower/rose u would have been very happy..........and the method is....On his birthday wish him with plenty of good wishes and celebrate that with full joy and tell him at last as i said aboveand one more thing that as ur relation will get older n older he will forget many things.........its beet to marry him as soon as possible if u r intrested....All d best for ur life........

He should be man enough to listen to what you have to say about it. Tell him how you feel, and he'd better listen. If he gets up and leaves in a huff, than he's an insensitive bastard. If he apologizes and promises to reform, hooray!

I doubt its a personal thing. My bf of 4 years once didnt remember by birthday. These things dont seem to be a big deal to guys. Make sure he does something special tonight though. Ring him now and tell him he is taking you out for dinner tonight.!Bloody men!
