I've a friend graduating law school in the coming year and was just wondering if either Chivas Regal 25-Year scotch or the Chivas 21-Year old Royal Salute scotch is a good gift, and also worth the money?

Old scotch, especially Chivas or Royal, is a fine gift. It will cost you, though.

Either would be a wonderful gift and money well spent only if the person you are giving it to is a Scotch devotee and would appreciate it. Make sure that they like Scotch first and can tell the difference between regular aged Scotch and fine aged Scotch.WA
