My friends had a baby today (c section) and I want to bring a gift to the hospital tomorrow. I want to bring a good gift - something more creative than flowers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How about a gift certificate for a massage, or maybe to a restuarant with a "will babysit" coupon.

It's not creative, but I guarantee they will appreciate it..... Food, Food, Food! The best gifts we received were fruit & food baskets as well as gift certificates to places that deliver food, including one to a grocery store. This was a lifesaver the first couple of weeks when we walked around like zombies. It was great not to have to prepare dinner or not to worry about having the basics at home. One friend put together a basket of my favorite fruit, cereals, snacks, water, etc. Saved me from having to add grocery shopping to my list of chores.

You could wait until the day she comes home from the hospital which will be in about 2-3 days and then bring her supper for that night and maybe make something for the next day too......cause with a section it's really hard to move around those 1st few days..... as for bringing something to hospital...just you coming to visit will be appreciated....

i know i would have loved a gift certicate to my favorite baby store, def one that carries diapers, wipes, all that stuff too; baby probly has enough clothes for five kids if anything like mine...put it in a pretty bag with tissue paper and some coupons, 'free homemade dinner delivered to your door', '2 hours of sitting with baby at your house while u shower or whatever you want' etc....throw in something for ur friend too, like a nice shower wash and a nice sponge....hth
