|
|
| So my boyfriend of almost two years is having a birthday in three weeks and I want to get him a new pair of shoes as one of his gifts...I'm not sure if I should pick something out for him or if I should get him a gift certificate for Foot Locker.I am just worried he's not going to like the ones I pick out but I think a gift certificate might not really be very personal, like I didn't think about his gift and I took the easy way out...What do you think? Any thoughts would be very helpful. Thanks in advance! |

| For something like shoes or clothes, I think a certificate is just fine. Maybe say something like 'I wasn't sure which ones you would like best, or if you needed something specific.' |

| Another option is to take him shopping for shoes on his birthday or the day before - that way you can help him pick out a pair, and then it won't be an impersonal gift. |

| Pick something out for him. It will mean so much more than if you just got him the certificate. But, get him an exchange receipt just in case they don't fit right. I always think it is important to go that extra step and pick something out for the person you care so much about. |

| Give him the gift certificate and a little note volunteering your services as a personal shopper. You could also get one of those stuffed animal gift card holders and put a necklace or something else he would like on it so that he's also getting something more personal. Just make sure he understands that you didn't want to give him a gift he would feel obligated to wear even if he hated, and you will be fine. |

| I think a gift certificate is just fine, as long as:1. He likes shopping at the Foot Locker;2. You let him know, in other ways, how much you love him and value his birthday. You mentioned other gifts. Are some of them more personal than a gift certificate? Also, you can include personal notes on a birthday card or tell him what he means to you.Hope you and he have a wonderful time on his birthday. =D |

| It all depends on how you "gift wrap" the certificate and present it to him. As you have been bf/gf for 2 years, I am sure you can be creative and personal. |

It was a present for my boyfriend on our anniversary and he loved it. It looks like a real painting! All of our friends are impressed and I’ve been telling a lot of people about this place. You should give it a shot. |
