I liked this. I am striving towards that same attitude. Enjoying what we have of life is a good thing. The gecko on the patio, unmade bed, dancing to the tunes, all things I would do in a heartbeat. The walking on the beach in that suit,, well, I am working on that.

It was very long, but I read it all, and I like it a lot. Not all of it, but much of it.Here's my favorite sentence:But broken hearts are what give usstrength and understanding and compassion.I am sorry to say that I actually have the experience of knowing two seniors who have undergone great public humiliation (which should count as broken hearts?) and who still totally lack compassion, courtesy, thoughtfulness, thankfulness, and kindness. I hope that my broken heart has led me to be stronger, more understanding, and more compassionate. And finally, yes, this is much better than "Do you think I'm pretty?" and "Don't you love the Jonas brothers?" Who are the Jonas brothers anyway?

Thanks for sharing, it about sums up my thoughts exactly, especially the part about staying up half the night on my computer and sleeping till noon. Here's a link for you that also sums it up for us. I saved it on my favourites from another poster gramma.
