I dropped some white wine on my comforter. It's a polyester/satin type material. I wiped up the most of it and put a blow dryer to it, but the area where the wine had spilled is still darker than the other areas. If you have ANY hints/recipes to get this darn stain out, please let me know! Thank you!Also, the reason I'm in a fret is because this comforter is NEW and a gift from my mom.  I don't want to ruin it... |

| Putting heat to it might have set the stain. Try some rubbing alcohol on it. It will evaporate so don't use a blow dryer. |

| Try using a laundry stain remover. Test a spot on the underside of the comforter first to make sure the color will stay. If it will, spray the stain and use a wet washcloth to scrub on it. Be sure to rinse the wash cloth several times through scrubbing. Once you have scrubbed it for a while. Clean out the wash cloth again and "rinse" the spot. Let it dry and the spot should be gone. |

| Rinse the stained area with cold water from the back of the white wine stain.Rub the white wine stain with liquid laundry or dish detergent and allow it to stand for 5-7 minutes. If the white wine stain remains, apply liquid detergent and soak in cold water for 30 minutes.Rinse thoroughly. But I tend to agree with the first response - the drying may have already set it. Always remember heat will set stains. |

| The best stain remover is ZoutYou can buy at Sears for about 3.00 dollars.You spray the stain and let it asbore the stain for about 5 minutes than put it to wash. |
