i have to go to a housewarming party tomorrow so i was wondering what housewarming gift to get them. i don't know their style or anything or if they drink, so i'm not going to get them wine because if they don't drink, then it will be offending to them. well maybe not, but whatever. and if you suggest something please show me something from the bed, bath, and beyond website. thanks. |

Play it safe... just get a beautiful house plant. Or better yet...get a gift card from BB&B let them get what they need.

A toilet plunger. Everyone needs one. Maybe you can decorate it to disguise it a bit.Or a painting or wall decoration. But for that, it is better to know what they would need, like the colors and location.

Or a hanging basket for outside. Stop at the nursery/Home Depot on your way and pick one up.

How about going really practical, and get them a couple of fire extinguishers. We gave this to some new homeowners, and a week later, their dryer caught fire, and it saved them from major damage.

i say go with candles or flowers and a nice vase they can use again. you want to give them something that will make their house feel more like a home.

A book on home improvement, a tool kit, an electric drill, a gift card to HD or Lowe's, a gift certificate to a local restaurant (to rest up in), a gift certificate for X numbers of hours of your time for help they might need.
