|
| I ask because I am considering redeeming some of my MyPoints for a"Gift Certificate" from Macy's, but it states it can be used in-store only... ? |

| They no longer do gift certificates. They only do gift cards. There is no difference other than certificates are paper and gift cards are credit card like (magnetic strip.) |

| You can use a gift card at either the stores or on the Macy's website, while the gift certificates can only be used in the store itself (mainly because you have to use the certificate all at once and the associates have to keep it) and you can only use the gift certificate once, unlike a gift card which you can use multiple times (as long as you have enough funds, that is). |
