Cookies, crackers, cheese, white wine, and soda. That will cover all the areas7s of interest. Dont forget the business cards. That is not negotiable.

Give them coupons for something, you can make them up, print them up. For free market analysis, for free home warranty, something, if they buy a home through your office.

Don't forget to have a door prize. It doesn't have to be expensive. You could do a basket with cheese & crackers & summer sausage, or have a drawing for a $25 gas card or grocery card. Make your business card into a magnet so they will put it on the fridge & not lose it. A cheese tray, fruit, crackers, cookies & soft drinks should be enough food. Personally, I would not serve wine. It's not a cocktail party.Good luck. I hope you have a home inspector, real estate attorney, appraiser, etc, lined up to speak.

I ask my friends and local businesses to donate money or product they selling or coupon for free service they offer for my seminar. We got free gold ring, money ($400.00) -we purchase small LCD TV and refreshments from local deli. With those gifts we did lottery for the people who show up- ask every person who will show up to put their name, ph# ( this is for you to follow up with them later) and award the winner.People like to get free gifts, but everybody getting key chain and calendars from all the other businesses. I also create "folders" for people attending with " forms" like writing your own wills, paper sheet when they can put information like credit card numbers and phones, life insurance e.t.c - you got idea. On the folders was of course my info, logo of my company and business card and coupons from other businesses who want to sponsor this event. I ask the appraisal, real estate attorney and real estate agent( I'm mortgage broker) to be a part of this seminar talk for couple minutes- everybody contribute some money and people were happy, because they got a lot of info and you will look professional, because you have all the people involved in the purchase transaction on bord. Most of the money go to advertise my event- local newspaper.
