I have NO idea what to get my fiance for the wedding gift. Our wedding isn't until July, 2009 but I don't want to leave it until the last minute. He already has a nice watch, and isn't really into any other type of jewelry. He LOVES baseball, so I was thinking something to do with that, but I don't know what a guy would actually want and what I could give that has sentimental value as well. I'm from Canada (he's American, but we're moving to Canada after the wedding), so tickets to a game isn't really an option. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? It doesn't have to be baseball related, just thought I'd throw his hobby out there as an idea. Also, when do I actually give him the gift? Before the ceremony or after the day is over? If before, how do I get it to him without him seeing me?

We gave each other our lives together. I know it sounds cheesy, but we wanted to save up for a house, and we had already spend money on the wedding, so gifts would have just been an added expense that we didn't feel we needed.

This may be a stupid idea or rather stupid as far as what I did for my fiance once for a gift (it was thought out and from the heart though). I got an autographed picture of our favorite football team (or you could do player) you can write his favorite team - publicity dept or just the team itself and they will usually send you a picture - explain what a huge fan he is and you would like to see about getting a picture. Of course the autographs are not real (photocopied) and put in a frame with other sentimental things like ticket stubs or whatever (or memorbillia that could be put in there ( you could get off off that auction site that starts with an E - I can't say the name or my answer will get deleted by yahoo answers as solicitation- they do that to me when I mention something to help people find something or whatever). I put in his ticket stubs from games we attended together and stuff. It was kind of like a framed collage of a sort. So if he still has any ticket stubs from a game he attended you could get it and put in there in a real nice frame for him. I don't know, but the idea may give you a start to your own idea of some sort. Sorry I couldn't be more of help. Good luck.

My Fi is a die hard cubs fan. I was planning on getting him cufflinks made from the seats at wrigley field. Check out the link below, they may have something that works for you. I know they do a few other things similar to that as well.. Give it to a bridesmaid or your MOH, even your mom and have them pass it over to him as you're getting ready.. or just give it to him yourself the rehearsal night.

I bought my FI a 21 year old bottle of Scotch for our two year anniversary. We get married next month, so it is sort of our anniversary/wedding present.

Something baseball related would be great. A signed jersey or baseball or a book on all the baseball greats. Another nice thing is a tie pin for his tie in the wedding. You give the gift usually after the rehearsal.

Generally the gift is given right before the ceremony, when you both are in your separate rooms. Have your maid of honor deliver it or a family member.

If you need an original gift try http://www.photoartomation.com/ArtWork/wedding.htm . They convert ordinary photo into Art and print them on canvas.I am very pleased with the painting I received from photoartomation.com. The painting is absolutely beautiful! I will definitely use this site to order gifts for people--including myself!
