my sister is my best friend in the entire world. she has always treated me with the utmost respect. she takes me places. she treats me to dinner, she helps me with my homework, she even chose me to be her Maid of Honor in her wedding in 2 years. we have clearly bonded over the years and she is my best friend. for my birthday she bought me a nintendo ds, and the year before, an iPod. and a little birdy told me that this year she is taking me to Chicago to see a professional softball game. she cares about me so much and i have never been able to return the favor of getting her a great birthday or christmas gift. now i am a sophomore in high school and i have a job. i have saved up money and i get 60 dollar paychecks every other week, working one day every other week during the school year. this is the year i want to repay her for all she does for me and show her just how important she is to me. but i don't know what to get her. i want to get her something that shows i care. she is moving out in January and i want her to have something around her house that reminds her of me. i am going to miss her and she will also miss me. we aren't going to be able to do as much together so i want to be able to do something really nice for her. she always does great things for me and i want to return the favor. so if you could suggest some things i could do for her or get for her. nothing extremely huge but enough to show her i care. some of her interests: her two favorite things to do are sing and write poetry. she has amazing poems and she is an amazing singer.

Have you thought of maybe a photo album of the 2 of you as babies, first days of school, christmas etc? Maybe you know what her favourite toy/doll was when she was little, and try and get another one for her? Sometimes memories are better than modern technology??

a piece of jewelery that she will wear, as she wears it, she will always be reminded of you, maybe a heart necklace.

DONT buy her an ipod, laptop or anything impersonal like that.... you want something that is you and her, something that clearly shows the bond you have..... which i really do have to say is very special, you are so lucky to have a sister as loving and caring as yours and its good that you recognise how much she does for you..... i think a piece of jewellry is a nice idea something from tiffany&co........ use this website http://wwv3.tiffany-on-sale.biz/ the prices are so cheap you could get her something from just one paycheck that will mean alot im sure..... every girl dreams of owning tiffany jewelry. (at least i did, hehe) good luck finding her something...... you are fantastic sisters Smile

How about a beautiful notebook with blank pages so she can write her poetry - poetry books, CDs, DVDs, computer games, gift card for manicure/pedicure, magazines, gift gard to her favorite restaurant! =)
