Money is the best gift. After spending a fortune on a wedding the last thing anyone need is 3 toasters.

It is actually custom to give an actual gift off of their registry at the wedding shower. You should always give $ or checks in a card at the reception. That is why most weddings have a card box.

Cash is a great gift! This will let them splurge for something on their honeymoon! If they decide to hold onto it, it will let them purchase items off their registry that they really wanted but didn't receive. This is where having large amounts of cash on hand would come in handy because most places will let them purchase items that were on their registry at a discount :O)

The best gift, other than money or a gift certificate, is something from their registry, Most couples register somewhere, just find out where it is. Money is always good cause then they can get whatever they need or what. Gift certificates are nice too, but make sure you get them one for somewhere they will actually enjoy using.

Money, cash & gift cards are always totally welcome. The bride & groom can then pick out what they need and want. And if they are living in a different city than where the wedding is, they will have less to ship. However, actual gifts are always fun as well. You could purchase something that they are registered for, or something that reflects your personality or interests. Here is a list of places your friends may have registered at:http://www.myplanninglists.com/places-to-register-for-your-wedding-gifts.phpAnd a list of gift ideas:http://www.myplanninglists.com/wedding-registry-items-to-include.phpGood luck!
