My In-laws drew names for christmas gifts this weekend and I got my husbands 12-year old girl cousin.I have NO idea what to get her. I really don't know her that well and plan on turning to asking her dad for ideas but I want to see if anyone on yahoo answers came give me ideas for me to come up with someone on my own....I know she loves animals. Grandma told me that lately shes wanting to learn how to cook.I would love to make her a quilt, however grandma makes amazing ones and I'm not even close to her skills so I'll leave any quilts she would ever get to her grandma. Our limit is 25.00. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am around her age and for Christmas last year i got the coolest lip gloss and lotion http://www.jaquabeauty.com/ it is on the high side but you can get it on sale sometimes at bed bath and body works. If you were thinking of clothes they have cheap stuff and is in for her age group http://www.aeropostale.com/home/index.jsp?clickid=topnav_logo_imgThe Nancy Drew Games for the PC are also very good and a big hit. Hope I helped good luck!

make her a cooking starter kit of her own! get a nice cookbook on cookies or something easy to start with- then load up a cookie sheet with the necessities she will need to make cookies- flour, sugar, nuts and choc chips, colored sprinkles, oven mitt, wooden spoons, spatula, etc. check out a used book store for a deal on a good cook book, then head to the dollar store for some of the basics you will need. anything else go get them at Walmart or something- you should be able to get tons of stuff for her with $25!

One thing could be a puppy, or a kitten might be a better idea because they're cheaper, and then you could get some toys for the kitty as well. Of course you would have to ask the parents permission first, but that would be a sure thing kind of gift!Another thing could be an MP3 player. Those are really nice gifts. It doesn't have to be and i-pod, but there are some cheaper ones out there. You could give her a quilt kit! It's easy. Just pick up some fabric, needle and thread, stuffing, ect. And you could even put it in a box you customized for her yourself! (most craft stores or dollar stores have plain wooden boxes in different sizes that you can get paint, rinestone, ect to personalize it.) That way, she can make her own quilt!Another thing could be make up. I know when i was that age (like last year) I wanted make up, but was embarresed to ask for it. another thing could be lotion, bubble bath, shampoo, ect. I hope I gave you some good ideas!~!~!~!
