Alright here is the deal! : )I recently bought my very best friend a small plush, which she always wanted. (it sold for around 90-150$) and is about 9 inches tall.I want to figure out a way to wrap/gift it for Christmas! What on earth do I do?! I mean I'm not just gonna wrap the damn thing with paper, that would look unpleasant and lame. : (I though of putting it in a basket, but then again, you can always see whats in the basket !? Do you wrap baskets?!Ughh!Help me please! I would like to know other ideas on how to put the attention around my main gift. Do I put it in a basket? Wrap it? What?! : |Best answer for best creativity on the presents display. : )

Get a small gift box or bag and line it with shredded tissue paper or just normal tissue paper (all available from card shops) then put the gift inside, and cover with more tissue paper. It looks pretty, covers the present and boxes/bags come in all sizes so that's not a problem either. It's not even expensive.Hope that helps!

You could put it in a basket and then wrap it with colored cellophane and then place a big bow on top with ribbon that is curled. You could also buy a Christmas gift bag or box and place it inside of that. Also you could buy a cookie jar and place the bear inside of it and then wrap the jar. When she opens the gift tell her to look inside and she will never expect the stuffed animal will be inside.

How about looking for a pretty box that could fit it inside comfortably? Or wrap it with pretty tissue paper and put it in a gift bag (that's tall enough for it) =)

You can buy gift boxes of all different sizes at dollar stores and gift stores like Hallmark, and even craft stores, they're around even more when the holidays come around. You can buy a plain white box and do what the previous poster mentioned and put some shredded tissue in the box, then the plush, and more tissue on top of the plush. If you're buying something else for your friend, you can get something like a purse and put the bear in a purse. You can also go to Build a bear and ask if you can buy one of their boxes. I'm sure for $5 they'll sell you one of their boxes and she'll think she's getting a bear from there instead of the one that she wants. You can also get one of the white boxes from the gift shops, put one hole in it somewhere and also make sure when you wrap it, to put a whole in the wrapping paper, but make sure it lines up with the hole in the box and make it the plush's "breathing" hole like they do when you buy an animal at a pet store. That's another option, go into one of the pet stores in the mall and ask to buy a box that they send home the puppies or kittens in, whichever one is smaller. You can tell them your situation and that it's a special surprise and you want it to be presented really special too. Being this is something your friend has really wanted, it can be like it's their "pet" that you're giving as the gift. I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a very Happy Holiday!

Buy a box to put it in, then wrap the box. It will wrap better and look prettier. You can get boxes at storage places or at any UHaul. You might even be able to get boxes for free at a store in your neighborhood. They normally just throw them out anyway.
