My husband and I want to give a friend something for an early Christmas gift. He is a true hunting and fishing fan. We want to spend about $50.00. Any ideas?

Does he reload? You could buy him some primers or powder or bullets for his reloading. Nothing says "we value your friendship" like a box of high-end bullets, or some fine gun powder. You could buy him grilling equipment, so he can cook what he catches.... lots of options there. Shirts are always nice....

A gift certificate to Cabela's. That always works. Then, you don't have to worry about what to get. He can get the stuff he wants or needs. He will be happy, trust me on this!

How about an inexpensive pair of binoculars?....... You might have to pay a little more but I never met a guy that didn't appreciate binoculars.....http://www.opticsplanet.net/nikonbinoculars-by-price-2.html

Don't get a gift certificate. That just seems so impersonal and the easy way out. You can buy a decent knife for that price that he will use the rest of his life (and think of you everytime he does). A Lansky knife sharpener, hunting shirt, gortex gloves or mittens, a bore sighter, fishing net, filet knife, fishing vest, water shoes/deck shoes are some other ideas.Good luck and I'm sure he will appreciate anything you decide.
