A nice set of towels with her monogram on them. If she is living on campus them maybe some heavy duty plastic dishes. You can find them in the picnic stuff at Walmart, Belks, etc... I used mine all the time.

Engraved Cross pens and pencils are nice, maybe with the graduation year on them. Savings bonds are always nice also. They usually mature about them time you get out of college.

the book by Dr seuss..."oh the places you'll go" with a personalized message in it. That book is the best grad present ever...aside from a trip to europe! LOL. Even though it is a kids book, it is great for grads.Inside you could put a gift cert for a day at the spa or something like that...

i graduated in 06 and the thing i needed, as well as every other grad i knew, most desperately was cash. not some cutesy little knick-knacks to fill up my already tiny dorm room. even people who give just $5 it was greatly appreciated. money for books, food, clothes, tuition. college is expensive. so maybe rethink the whole "no cash" thing. its always nice to put thought into a gift but i think, from personal experience, cash is what is most helpful to a new graduate.

I think a nice photo album would be perfect. She can fill it up with her happy high school memories and with her new fun, college ones, too. She will think of you when she uses it also.

Perhaps if you don't want to give the grad cash you could give her other things that will be a must while she is away at college. Like laundry supplies: a laundry basket filled with detergent, fabric softener, towels, and wash clothes.ORA nice big wicker basket filled with heavy duty plastic dinnerware, flatware, cups, and dishclothsDo something unique...but still useful. The graduate will always remember that!
