Do you buy gifts from a registry or do you get something you think they will like?

| The Garfield pillowcases seems a little bit odd, but I honestly believe that you can't expect anything for a gift. It's a gift, you get what you get. You can only be thankful that you received one. Take it with a grain of salt. Remember that the ultimate gift is that you will have a husband to share the rest of your life with. I know it sounds cheesy, but if you focus on things such as what gifts you recieve it will take away from the glory of your whole expereince. |

| It really varies. If I know the person or couple well and think of a great gift I will go out on a limb, but if I can't think of a good gift I will go for the registry. For example, for my cousin's wedding I bought them a $100 bottle of champagne, and in the card suggested they may want to use it to celebrate their first anniversary. While you know for sure that they'll like gifts from their registry, sometimes a surprise here and there is just as nice. Some of the gifts from my wedding that are most precious to me were not from the registry, such as a handmade wooden cutting board in the shape of a heart and a handmade quilt. |
