| I tred to purchase some music and books from amazon.com and borders.com.I did not want to enter my credit card # because i have $1000.00 gift card that my family relative bought for me.Even though my total was about $120.00 they still wanted my credit card #.Are theirs gift cards worthless?Is that a just another way of scam?They probobly wanted to have my credit card on file but ido not want ther business.I just wanted to spend a gift card and they make whole procedure out of it.What is up with that ???...anyone please!!!!!!! |

| This is most likely for verification of who you are.Although you are using a gift card, that card could have been brought on a stolen credit card, or you could get an item at a different address, and then tell them you never got it, that it was not you, and that someone must have used your gift card fraudulantly or used your credit card to buy the card fraudulantly.Some credit card companies will create a virtual credit card number for you which has a set value to it. Try using that if it bothers you that much. |
