We both got married last year on May 27th. This will be our first anniversary.

Do you feel you will have a guilt complex if you don't? If you feel like you should because you want to do something nice for her then, yes, but don't do it out of a feeling of obligation.

You shouldn't have to feel obligated, but you could get her a card. It's just a courteous thing to do.

Does she buy you one?We don't buy gifts for everyone's anniversary in our family. Only the memorable ones when they throw a party for them. The only anniversary gifts I buy is for my husband on ours.

If you live in the same city, why not meet up for coffee?I guess you could always give her a card or an e-card.

The people I know know don't buy presents for other people's anniversaries- just their own.
