Take him to see a movie you know he would really love, even if you would cringe at it.

Date night!!! Surprise him. Pick him up after work and take him to dinner and a movie. Or dancing. Also think of something that you guys used to do when you guys were dating that you don't do now.

i can tell you what my wife did. you made me a home made card. used those zip-zag scissors to cut out the pages, pasted some pics that we took together and habd wrote it. yes it was corny perhaps, but it has been the best things she could have given my. i keep it in my office just to remind me of her and the time she took to do it..sometimes it isn't the cost but the thought... signed, senistive guy

There could be thousands of suggestions, none of which your husband would enjoy... Only YOU know what he would like. Only you could ask him, "If I could do anything go anywhere, with you, what would you want?"There may be something that he would enjoy, but has never mentioned it, because he is considerate of your and your desires. Because more than anything he may want to please you. If you want to surprise him, ask him to sit down and as fast as he can think of them, write down ten things, then pick one.BUT, after being married 43 years, I'd say if you want to give him the BEST anniversary gift you can this year. Choose something you will BOTH enjoy, equally. After all, it is Your anniversary also, and the best marriages are where we share things equally.... Get him a gift, choose something he would like, but not normally buy... It does not have to be expensive, many board games are made from paper, and you can play them together.... That could be a gift you both may enjoy for a year or even years to come...

It is "paper" themed... Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle. Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard. Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.
