| My mom's German foreign exchange student is graduating next week and I need to know what I should get him. He's 17 years old, he'll be flying back to Germany the following week from graduation. I don't want it to be too bulky for travel reasons. So something smaller would be nice. Any suggestions are welcome! |

| maybe you could take him to some place he has never been before that is close to you. i had family come from germany and one day i took them to a historical site (ft.Langley, b.c.) that was close to my house and they had a blast seeing the old fort and the demonstrations being presented, afterwards we walked through historic downtown. it is something they took a ton of pictures of and got to show people back home. |

| How about a book? Obviously he is something of a traveler. 1,000 Places to See Before You Die would make a nice gift--it's filled with travel ideas. The Dangerous Book for Boys is very popular right now, too. A new wallet filled with a few greenbacks to enjoy before leaving the country would be nice--and he can use the wallet forever. A gift card to spend at a cheap U.S. store like Target would also be nice--there are things here that are much cheaper than they are overseas, and he might want to buy a few things that he's gotten used to over here before heading home. |
