What do you want this gift to say or reflect? Most of the time people give crystal, dishware ect.... How about something unique for a math teacher....unique clock or some unique measuring tools for the kitchen from Sonoma? Something unique for sure.

have you checked weddingchannel.com to see if they are registered there? Otherwise, a card with a well written message and small picture frame gift is nice.

Well it depends on what you want to spend. An original gift that is expensive would be A oil panting made of A wedding Photo. They cost around $150. If your looking for something less expensive then you could buy them A personalized photo album. Just stay clear of the calculators and you'll be fine. SmileSmileSmile

Whenever I've given wedding gifts or engagement party gifts, I try to think of something useful. A real nice wicker basket, with a variety of things to choose from to put in it, like towels, (kitchet, bath, or beach) or some cool summer plates & glasses. Be creative. And shop at the right stores so you don't have to spend alot, like Big Lots, or Pat Katans, etc...

Find out where they are registered. They register for gifts so they don't get crap they don't need or want. Most people are polite enough to register for some things that don't cost much so you don't have to break the bank and you will look thoughtful that you considered their feelings and went out of your way to find out what they wanted. If you are just getting a gift and are not invited to the wedding a card is all you need. It shows you care.

Hi, A painting of your teacher. Do you have at least one photo of her? Even if photo is on a text book or online you can do it.You need to upload a photo to http://www.paintyourlife.com/ Or mail it. If photo is on text book you use scanner etc etc ....The artists will do the rest, and deliver your painting. Smaller picture cheaper.Read the FAQ and how it works on their website.Karl

I'm a teacher, and when I got married, I received a wide range of gifts from students - everything from a set of handmade coffee mugs, to a little figurine of bears as bride and groom, to Tupperware - to an oil painting done by the student's grandma! Anything you choose is MUCH appreciated, cost does NOT matter - and believe me, we remember the gift and the giver, even after many, many years!
