|
|
| my friend just got married - this was her 2nd marriage and his first. they just got married at the court house and my husband and i stood as witness. i want to give them a gift, a simple one. what would be a good gift, but not too outrageous. they lived together before the marriage, so they dont need the typical toaster and blender. any ideas......... |

| They are older and established and likely have everything they need for the house as they've been married before. Unless they registered somewhere or you are aware of something they actually need and can use, money is always appreciated. |

| A sexy night wear for the girl would do... you know... to heat things up! it's like saying "Keep the love burning". Trust me it would work! They may find it weird at fist but HEY! I bet their gonna use it on their wedding night! |

| Get them a gift certificate to a ritzy restaurant in town, or a gift certificate for a hotel in a near by city that is nice to stay in, so they could have a little get away. Gift certificates are great. If they are wine drinkers a nice wine basket (higher end) might be nice. Or perhaps get them a gift certificate to a home furnishings store where they could buy something they need. |

| A nice gift for the home that they don't already have is appropriate. Williams-Sonoma has some very nice glassware http://www.williams-sonoma.com/shop/gls/glsi/glsmnoi/index.cfmmonogrammed with initials. They sell wine glasses, beer glasses, pitchers, etc. If you buy wine glasses, a nice bottle of wine will finish it off nicely. A picnic basket, if they happen to like going on picnics. A donation to a charity they care very much about, made in their name. Send them a gift basket filled with baked treats they can enjoy in their newlywed bliss. |
