| A bridal shower gift is a gift for the bride. A wedding gift is one for the couple. That said, offer whatever you're comfortable with. If you bought what you considered a wedding gift for the bridal shower gift, a card should be just fine for the wedding. If you decide to bring a wedding gift as well, go for it according to your means. (I really did want wooden spoons for my wedding.) After all, if you were at the bridal shower, you know the bride and she likely knows you and your situation -- namely that you want to share in this moment with her and her husband to be. |

| If you already purchased a bridal shower gift, then you are in the clear and do not need to bring a gift to the wedding. BUT, and a big but: If the gift you purchased was either:a) only for the bride to use or b) less than the amount you think they are paying for you and your guest to be at the weddingThen you must pick up a gift for the wedding that would be something that the couple could use and will balance out how much you have spent on the gift in comparison to how much they spent on you. You could also just bring a card with a check or cash in it. |

| Since a bridal gift is for the bride(and groom depending on the gift), the wedding gift is for the bride and groom, or the household. Something of relative cost to the bridal gift. Or, a csh donation, whether to the happy couple, or in their name to their fave organization. |

| The best and cheapest thing to do is get something for both occassions from their "gift registry" lists. Usually people will apply for a gift registry from various stores to suit everyones price range. Good Luck! |
