For months now I've been trying to restore intimacy and passion in our marriage. I've asked what she would have me do, and her response is always the same. "It's not you, I'm just tired and don't need sex as much as you, I think I'm starting menopause" (she's only 44)I've suprised her with gifts, flowers, told her she's beautiful, after 20 years together I still get hard just looking at her. I take her out to dinner, movies, play games with her. Compliment her, and thank her....nothing.Last night I offered to take her out, but we couldn't because a contractor was coming to do some work. I said well how about take out and a movie, your choice. She asked for chinese, when I arrived, she complained that I got fried rice instead of chow mein. She appologized later, but I'm ready to give up. I want and need intimacy. I miss her so much. There is absolutely not a single shred of evidence that she is bangin the contractor or anyone else.

Oh, you're so sweet. I wish my husband was more like you. She may actually be starting menopause. My mother did in her mid-30's. Have you told her what you've told us? Have you talked candidly about your relationship w/ her. If not, you should do so. Clearing the air is always helpful. If you have then give her a little more time. If she doesn't come around, suggest marriage counseling. Good luck.

wow, bless your heart.. maybe you can talk her into going to the doctor? i know they have medication to help with that. maybe it's not a medication, more of a vitamin supplement. you could even check out your local health food store. it really could be menopause though, women can start even earlier than that. but again, there are medications. good luck. it would be a shame if yall cant work this out.

Yes, throw in the towel. After a few weeks go by she'll realize that your not trying anymore...and that may prompt her to try.

it might just be a phase. Maybe she's having issues with her ownself. how about a spa trip jus for her...or a girls night out. She might have issues with her age and getting older. You sound like a great guy. I think my husband should take some advice from you HAHA. Don't give up, just give her time. that might be all she needs....bad thing is...you won't know how much time that is. Good luck.

beware...had similar situation in a long term relationship.it is true menopause cuts a womans sex drive in half..In the end ; I found she simply fell out of love with me and all the wonderful things I did for her didn't me squat..Her self centered ego took over and I left her and she's now alone and clueless!!!!

Ask her to go to the doctor, that isn't normal, and she could have something wrong that would be easily remedied with proper medication.
