|
|
| Today was my last day of high school (Junior year) and one of my teachers gave me a gift. It was an envelope with a card telling me, basically, to keep trying because I was capable of success. (I'm a terrible student) Inside was a gift certificate. I really did like this teacher and we got along well even though I got an F. I'm not entirely sure what the appropriate thing to do in this situation is. A point in the right direction would be appreciated. Thank you. |

| A thank-you note. It can even be via email if you're shy. |

| Write a nice note back to say thanks for the encouragement and leave it at that. It's possible he/she was trying to come on to you and it's more probable that it was meant as a genuine concern for your career and life. But just in case, do the note and that's all.PS I'm a high school teacher. |

| Send a card back. That teacher is giving you a second chance so try harder when you get back to school next year.[x]melanieinuyasha |

| First thank your teacher, either in person or with a note or email. Second, get better grades and prove him/her right. |

| The others are right on here. A thank-you note would be absolutely perfect for this situation. It shows a great deal of courtesy, respect, and gratitude. |
