I am going to a high school graduation for a friend's son. I know the mom very well. I really don't know her son at all. I want to put money in a card. How much is appropriate ---what's typical? I leave in an hour. Thanks!!!!

I would say 10.00 to 20.00 dollars is enough.Boy do I feel cheap, but you hardly know the child, stick with my advice, you will be richer.

$30 is good or if you could stop somewhere and pick up an American Express gift card that would be even better. Have Fun!

Don't give money...it is too impersonal. Like (well I did not want to put any thinking into a gift for you ) Go get a gift card for about $25.00.That way it looks as if you put a little thinking into it.And teens love those cards.

If you are a distant relative of the person in question, anywhere from $10 to $30 should be fine. You would probably want to go a little higher the more closely you are related to the graduate.

You really do not need to give alot. Give $20. I consider that good enough.
