Hi, My friends are always calling me spoiled but they don't even know the half of it. I have divorced parents, am an only child, and am sort of poor. Yes, I have a cell phone, my own laptop and have gotten massages, mani-pedi's and go to a certain hair dresser every time, but my friends do the same! Take a look:Hannah: Has a laptop, cell phone and has gotten a mani pedi a few times.Sasha: Has a cell phone, and basically her own computer.Brittany (Best friend who calls me spoiled the most): An Apple computer, had a cell phone, has been taken to the nail shop in town but didn't want one. Aidan: Has an iPod, gets to use a computer whenever he pleases, has been offered a cell phone but didn't want one, and he is REALLY greedy and doesn't ever want to spend ANY of the money he makes.So do you think I am spoiled? I really dont think that I am. I have to worrk for a lot of things. I have to pay my cell phone bill monthly and my laptop was a graduation gift from the 5th grade.Okay, GLOOM AND DOOM, it wasn't just a graduation present, it is to entertain me while my mom works (she is a realtor) and I appreciate you answering the question, but it hurts me a little bit that you would judge me so quickly when you don't even know me. Nothing, your parents are just upset they never had any other children and they want to spoil you because you are their one and only. I never had a laptop or cellphone, not even a car, it was so embarrassing to be 17 and still riding the bus. I wouldn't call you SPOILED, because you are an only child. (I have 2 brothers). But you do have more then you need. If your friends don't stop saying you're spoiled just make sure they know that they have most of the same things you do. Do your friends pay their own phone bills? You do, and that is a really good thing to be doing. Good luck with everything, I hope your friends realized that you arn't as spoiled as they think you are. Do you act like you are entitled to these item, rather than lucky and grateful that they have been given to you? Your post makes you sound like you think you are entitled, because you think you deserve to have these thing. That opinion alone, makes you spoiled. It's ok, I'm spoiled too, my birthday was on june 20th and I got an iPod from my grandparents and it is the one where you can watch videos on it and stuff. I have my own tv in my room, I own a coach purse (I got that by saving money I got from babysitting and my grandma) and lots of brand named clothes. Trust me. Just because you have a cell phone, laptop, and all that stuff, it doesn't mean you're spoiled. Anyone can have those stuff and not be spoiled.If you work for it, it really isn't considered that.Hope it helped your problem! Back to top
