The groom & bride must be registered in some kind of store. Find out where from other guests or companions. Of all the gifts listed than have not been purchased buy the one the fits your budget (do not try to impress others with the most expensive gift). A final alternative would be a gift card or cash. Anytime cash or gift card is giving inside a congrats card you must alert groom or bride than is contains money so others do not steal it.

The first thing you should find out is if they are registered anywhere. Alot of couples are using stores like Target, but also high-end shops. If they are registered, the store has a list of what they want and keeps track of what's already been purchased from that list.IF, they are not registered, since you apparently don't know the groom well, money is another option. At least $25 dollars.
