| This guy called while i was at work and left a voice mail. He had just gotten a text i had sent him a couple of days ago. He was at his sisters wedding less than an hour before it was to start. I had gotten a gift certificate to eat at a nice place for my birthday and had asked him if he would maybe like to go use it with me. In the voice mail he said sorry , he was busy with his sisters wedding last week, so didnt notice the text..... maybe we can use that gift certificate later." Two questions.. he didnt ask me to call him back.. i dont want to seem too eager... do i call him back? And the second one... esp like guys opinion.. any take on the voice message.. just all business? or anything else.? Was it a put off? thanks, |

| well, he said maybe use it another time, so that sounds like he is interested, i would call him back. He probably just forgot to say it, and just figured you would anyway. It wont hurt if you do. |

| well he said "maybe we can use the gift certificate later" that means, he'd like to use it and go with u somewhere... he prolly just forgot to say to call me back - he didnt call u didnt he ! u just couldnt pick up - so u have to return his call. if u dont he'll think ur ignoring him because i guarantee he will not call u back again if u dont return his call. |

| No, if a guy is busy with something, than he doesn't really notice things like a text message. Even my boyfriend doesn't notice some of the text messages i send him when he's busy with something and we've been dating for 14 almost 15 months. it's not a blow off, he told you the truth and i think you should call him back because he said that he would like to use the gift certificate later. and if he really did say maybe than it sounded like he was hoping he was still invited. i wish you luck and i hope that this helps. |

lol. you silly girl, he wants you to call him back, he wants to talk to you and the whole "maybe we can use it later" thing means that he wants to go out with you, take full advantage of it.  |

| Of course call him.You wanted to invite him to dinner...and he wasn't able to make it because of a wedding.But he called and said he'd like an invitation...so invite him!Don't look too deeply and try to find hidden meanings... guys are straightforward. |

| I think it was good sign that he called you and explain why he didn't call earlier. The message was OK, you have to remember that guys really don't do the message thing so any message is a good one. I would call him again, but if you don't want to sound desperate just say that you use the certificate but you still want to get together. You don't want him think you didn't use it because he didn't get back to you. I don't think it was a put off. Take the chance and ask him out again when you know he's in town. GOOD LUCK ! |
