Well, for our wedding gift she got me a PS2 ... Get him an XBox 360 or a PS3 or a Wii ... the Wii would be good because most women like that over the other two consoles.

What do we really want? We want not to be called "hubby."

Hmm....maybe some electronics like an ipod, cds, or maybe even an labtop. I think flat screen tv would be the best choice.

I gave my husband an engraved pocket watch, which he wore the day of. It said, "Everytime I am with you, time stands still" Then it had our wedding date on it. He collects pocket watches, so for him it was great. For a second choice, I would say electronics. You cannot go wrong there, for ex. a portable DVD player, camera (which would be good for the honeymoon), MP3 player, etc. Now my husband gave me a "wedding night" package, which actually had a lot of lovely and "fun" stuff in it.Good Luck and Congrats on your wedding!

I got my husband a really fancy watch. Something he always wanted but would never ever spend the money on. I figured given what he spent on the ring I could spend a few thousand on a watch. He was really overwhelmed as he did not expect I would ever be that extravagant. I think a watch is a traditional gift, but in the spirit of it. Get him something he would never get himself but really wants and something he thinks you would never get him. It's the spirit of the giving that is more important than the actual item.

I hate to say it, but it depends a lot on what your husband is interested in.My wife bought me a nice watch. I used to travel extensively to 3rd world countries for work and I quit wearing jewelry. As I didn't know what I did with my watch (that I quit wearing), she bought me a new one.I am a hunter and love firearms. My wife also bought me a little 454 Casull rifle that ran about $350 when I graduated with my Master's.Is your husband a fisherman? If you have the bucks, book a few days or a week at a fishing lodge in the northern US or Canada...the more remote, the better ;)You have a more modest budget? How about a weekend in Las Vegas? Get some tickets for a band from your childhoods'. Go see a comedy act.You want something that he can keep forever? How about:The lastest video game system (Play Station, X-Box, or whatever type he likes)A nice beer steinAn engraved flask with a message from youIf he is a smoker, how about getting a Zippo Engraved for him with a nice message from youIs he a drinker? Give him some fine booze. Some suggestions:Beer: Alaskan Smoked Porter (only brewed a limited time...expect to pay about $60 a case outside of the Pacific Northwest)Bourbon: A.H. Hirsch makes some fine aged whiskey for about $100 to $200 a bottle. Vodka: Cristall makes a Vodka that I always wanted to try. Personally, I am an Absolut fan. There really aren't any high end Vodkas that I familiar with (though they are out there)Rum: If you can find it, Barbancourt makes a 15 year old rum that I think is to die for. The few time's I have seen it in the US, I think it runs about $30 to $40 a bottle.Perhaps buy him some fine cigars if he enjoys the occasional smoke. Maker's Mark (the whiskey company) makes a fine cigar. You can always go with the Dominican made Cuban Cigars (Paritgas, Romeo Y Juliette, etc..).Tickets to sporitng events might be another ideaJust a few ideas. I would recommend to try and go somewhere together before you have children and life changes. Take some time to go out and be wild while you are young.

do NOT get him anything having to do with video games, you'll be sorry later when you never get any attention.. plus, why should you have to pay for his expensive habit..its like crack, i swear, and there's always something bigger and better coming out that he'll just have to have
