| I am getting her a DVD movie she likes, her favorite candies and a gift certificate. But to where?She has repeatedly brought up how she is going to buy some new shoes but has yet to buy any over the past two months that she has been saying it.She also mentioned how she is going to buy some new clothes at her favorite store at the mall, but I haven't seen her do it yet.I thought about getting her a gift certificate for some art supplies since she is an artist and recently spend a lot of time (80+ hours) and a good amount of money painting/framing me a painting. Plus it's something she can use.Or putting a stereo in her car, hers was stolen a long time ago.Also thought about giving her a key to my place. Modify this plan as you see fit... |

| the key thing sounds tacky, just give that to her normally, not wrapped up or anything. other than that, sounds good, just forget the key idea. |

| any of that sounds good, I'm sure you know her well enough to know what she likes...its how you give it to her that you can make special. suprise her with a small gift or a sweet text in the morning, send something to her during the day, and then give her her big gift later that night...maybe after doing something sweet together? |

| If I wre you I would give her a key to your place another time but I would give her a gift thing to the mall and I would take he there so that way you don't have to worry about messing uo the gift!!!! |

| Well depending on how comfortable you feel with her, I would start off with a key to the place, but that's just me. It will sort of take the relationship to another level, but only do it if you are ready for that step. My suggestion for a gift would be to make her an appointment to get her hair and/or her nails done. Then take her to her favorite store in the mall and let her try on different outfits and shoes. (this can also be done before so that you can see what she likes). Then you could either purchase the items then or if you do it before her birthday you can purchase the items without her and surprise her with them for her birthday. That would show that you pay attention to her interests. And if she is like me and doesn't like trying on clothes, just pay attention to things that she looks at and try to have a sales associate help you. I would then end the evening with a private dinner (if you know how to cook or fake and bake) and her favorite dvd or take her to a nice restaurant. The most important thing is to have lots of fun and make her feel very special on her night! Good luck and don't be cheap! LOL |

| You are one very thoughtful guy and this girl is VERY lucky to have you! All of the ideas above sound wonderful to me. Only other suggestion I might have is that girls like to go to the spa every once in a while, maybe for a massage, manicure, etc. You can get her a gift card to the store in the mall that she likes or the shoe place. Almost all places sell gift cards. To top it off, you might get her one red rose and a card. Your list is awesome and you are on the right track. Last year for my birthday, my husband wrote "happy birthday" on an index card. Trust me, you will make some big brownie points. |

| Don't overkill. It's a birthday, and it's great to want to give her something that she's going to remember. But you don't want it to be too impersonal. Save the car stereo for another time (though that would be an awesome chrstimas present if you're thinking ahead.)Get her a gift certificate to a spa for a massage. And a mall certificate so she can decide which store she's going to shop at.DInner would be wonderful, (hint, if my boyfriend's out there, that's what I want)and a key is okay, but you want to make sure that you're giving it to her not for a birthday, but because you WANT her to have it.
