| Honestly... any college bound graduate wants MONEY the most. And gift cards are kind of unimaginative, and unoriginal, but they're the most useful.I've gotten three of my graduating friends gift cards to stores like Wal-Mart and Target, because they can use the cards to buy clothes, or furniture, or stuff for their dorm, or even food when they're strapped for cash. |

| If you are good friends with him, I always think a picture album would be nice. Just a bunch of memories :]it doesn't have to have tons of flowers and stuff all over. Make it guyish. you know. have fun with it |

| If they are going away to college it's nice to give a gift of laundry soap, laundry basket (pop up one's are nice space saver) or a laundry bag.. A roll of quarters and some dryer sheets, stain pretreaters... We usually give that to grads that are going away for the first time.. My husband now in his 30's still uses his laundry bag for his work clothes ! It's a nice/useful gift especially for a guy.. Good luck |

The first answerer is spot on! Money, either in the form of cash or as a gift card, is a great gift for a young person just off to university. That way, they can get what they need as it comes up.Best wishes  |

| For guys, gift cards are usually the way to go unless you know the person really well, in which case you wouldn't need anyone else's help. Depending on the kind of kid he is, you can give a gift card to a place like Best Buy or maybe a department store. Amazon.com gift certificates and American Express universal gift cards are probably the best bets, though. |

| Money is definitely the most popular gift for a graduation and the thing most graduates expect. However, a nice watch is also a good gift. |
