Tell your friend to mind her own business. This is not her decision. It's your sister and your money. If you want to give sis the honeymoon, then go for it.BTW, I think it is lovely and generous of you. I am sure your sister will be thrilled.

That is a GREAT gift and she will love it. It is good that you have spoken to her fiance about it as well so that he is aware of your plans as well. Congrats to her and to you for being a great brother!

I think it's a wonderful Idea, but i would writen her a letter too...saying all the things you've just explained, tell her how much she means to you! I'm getting married soon, and I'm sure they'll be eternally greatful for the help...I wish we had someone wanting to send us on our honeymoon! |

you could try speaking to her closest friends to find out where she would really like to be able to go on this honeymoon, it is possible she doesn't want to go anywhere.so then ask the friends what she has always wanted but could never see herself being able to afford.... if the price is out in the ozone ask the fiance if you could split the cost..if she has always wanted to ski the Canadian Rockies she will be the happiest sister in the world to get that from you an her wedding day.. now after the church part is over and the reception part is in progress tell the master of ceremonies you wish to say something, then when you do address the crowd, and say what you said here about the horrid brother and wanting her to feel special and then give her this something special.....you see a gift is nice and all but will not say exactly what you want it to say so you must use your lips.....that will be the real something special..

I think it's a very touching gesture.I don't think you have anything to prove. Your sister already knows how much you care for her, and this beautiful gift will only reinforce her feelings. What a nice person you are.
