I don't really want to do gift certificates. And I can't do movies because I don't know which movies they have. But what are some good gifts for an entire family (mom, dad, kids)?

I've found that a fruit basket (fairly inexpensive from the grocery store) or a meat/cheese/etc. tray (usually bought from a speciality store--but some good prices are to be had from catalog shopping) fit the bill perfectly. These always look nice without any work on your part. I've done it for family, friends, and even for people when they've lost loved ones.

Go to Blockbuster and buy a popcorn bucket, it has a microwave popcorn bag in the bottom of it. Fill it with candy and a store gift card to rent movies. Wrap it in cellophane and tie a nice Christmas bow on top
