I want to get my sister a creative wedding gift...I'm a relatively broke college student and I feel like me giving her money (after all the money I've already spent on the wedding) is a little weird...Someone suggested Signaturedays.com for another question that I asked and I LOVE the site... I'm looking for something similar:a website with creative gift certificates of some kind...or even suggestions for great restaurants in Manhattan. Thanks in advance!(I'm looking to spend around $100)

Give her a nicely hand decorated coupon book. You can make it yourself and accompany it with a nice bottle of champagne and a candle or two. You can find some really beautiful paper at an art supply store and then hand letter or script write out the coupons. As many or as few as you need to feel comfortable. Tie them together with some nice ribbon. A lot of these suggestions are at no cost to you but you can let your imagination go free. You may even take suggestions from other friends, siblings, or your mom and dad.In the coupon book you can give them any of these suggested things or think up your own based upon your relationship:One housecleaningCook one meal (if you cook and they like your cooking)Clean their carOne art museum get-a-wayOne ride on the Staten Island Ferry wtih treats afterwardsOne trip to the zooOne banana split to splitOne coffee talk in the morning (you buy the coffee)Things like that that you know they would love to do with or without you...I have pulled this one out of my hat many times for different people through the years and it is always appreciated and remembered. It's funny, my children are now giving me coupon books for Mother's Day and to supplement other gifts on various occasions.Just be sure to follow through on the redemption. Remind them that they have it from time to time. You can even put an expiration on it like one year.Have fun at the wedding. Congrats on a new brother-in-law!

My favorite gift idea is to find out where they are going on their honeymoon. Contact the hotel they will be staying in and set it up so that they have a welcome basket full of romantic goodies like champagne and chocolates and such when they arrive. Or you could pay for a couples massage to help them relax while they're on their honeymoon or some other similar activity depending on where they are going. Scuba diving, horseback riding, parasailing, dinner for two, etc. There are tons of options for what you could pre pay for. After all the stress of planning a wedding, they would probably love to create some wonderful first memories as husband and wife on their honeymoon. It would be a really personal and unique gift that they could enjoy forever, because they'll always have those memories.
