Missing license key for Amapi Designer 7?

Hi. I was given Amapi Designer 7 as a Christmas gift and there was a mistake in the packaging. It's supposed to come with a license key or serial number. But it didn't. I have tried contacting the makers of the program, but because of takeovers and a splitting up of the company's products between other companies, this program has been lost in the cracks. No one at eFrontier or Daz 3D or any of the other companies involved can help me. Their only suggestion was to go to the seller for an exchange, but they haven't got any and won't be getting any in. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can finally get this software working? Thank you!
