I am attending a wedding but I dont want to give money as a gift because I can not afford it. What can I give as a nice gift but still stay on the inexpensive side?

There are plenty of websites that offer great deals on cute wedding gifts. Honestly, you can just search "wedding gift ideas" and get plenty of results

Is the couple registered anywhere? Even if they don't have much in your price range on the registry, you can get a good idea of their taste and what colors they are going to use to decorate. Then look for little things that are generally useful and attractive. Pretty kitchen towels, placemats that look nice with their everyday china, guest towels for the bathroom, pretty guest soaps, or a small decorative item like a vase or picture frame all make nice gifts, either separately or in a small assortment.Or, if you do a handcraft, consider making something for them. A good friend of mine did a lovely counted cross stitch picture for our wedding that I treasure, and another friend made us a fabulous custom quilt based around our lives, interests, and romantic history.Or, if neither of these ideas appeals or seems practical and you're very close to the happy couple, consider making a small set of personal 'gift certificates' for things you'd be willing to do for them to be redeemed when they like. They could be for things like lunch with the bride, a weekend of house or pet sitting services when they're away, a home-cooked meal at your place, an afternoon of yard or housework...anything you'd be willing to do when presented with the coupons.Even if all you can afford is a congratulatory note, give the best one you can figure out how to write. The support and love of a good friend is worth so much more than any material gift.

Is the couple registered anywhere? Usually people put gifts on the registry from different price ranges. You can always ask the couple where they are registered, or if they have any wishes as to what to receive as a gift.

I had some broke friends who pitched in together and got us a certificate for a wonderful 5 course dinner at a fancy restaurant. It was one of our favorite gifts!
