I'd like to give a wine as a wedding gift, with a note saying that the couple can enjoy this on their 10th anniversary, etc.

Go to a wine shop and have one of the sales people help you select something they have in stock. There are so many that would fit your criteria but every store has different wines by different producers. Expect to pay a little (or a lot) more for a wine that you can "lay down" for a decade. I think that it is a very nice idea and if the recipients of the gift are wine lovers they will cherish it.

Barolo is a great BIG Italian red that ages better than any other I've had. I had a 1970 just last week that was aged to perfection.

The advice to go to a wine shop and ask for a rec there is pretty sound- but if you don't have that luxury,, something high in tannins will age well, like a cab sauv. It's also a good idea to buy several bottles so you can try them at different times. You can usually find information or call a winery to find out how a particular wine is tasting at a given time.

The key to a wine holding up well is how it is stored, but if you want something that will be nearly indestructable get a nice bottle of 30 or 40 year old port wine. Not the cheap stuff from California that calls itself port, but a real Port from Portugal. Many people stick their noses up at port because they have never had the real stuff. A fine authentic aged port like a tawny or ruby is cause for celebration itself. A great name to look for is Presidential Porto,
