Amazon.com Review Tired of transporting a bulky miter saw stand from one job site to the next? The DeWalt DW723 may be the answer. Lightweight and rugged, the all-aluminum stand measures a mere 5-1/2 feet out of the box and weighs in at just 38 pounds. However, when fully assembled, it can support boards up to 16 feet long and a full 400 pounds of weight. The key to its strength lies in the stand's retractable legs, which lock securely in place then tuck away when not in use, as well as its sliding cam-lock extensions, which provide a full 16 feet of length when assembled. A carrying handle makes the stand easy to transport when fully retracted. Just throw it in the back of your pickup and it's good to go. Assembly is quick and easy, too. We had ours up and running in a matter of seconds. Mounting brackets adjust to fit most miter saws, making this the ideal workspace for the professional or do-it-yourselfer on the go. --Carl Thress

Review #1: Table saw 2007-03-26 Wow, this table is strong and holds the heaviest Miter Saws around. It's easy to work with and you can extend the sides to the length you want to work with wood pieces. It's a bit heavy to lug it around but it can be stored nicely and carried around anywhere you want.
Review #2: Good, but could be better 2007-03-21 I'm glad I bought it, but it could be better. Material falls off the supports regularly. I guess I'll have to attach longer tops to the supports. It would be nice if it had fold out extensions so material is less likely to fall off while positioning for cutting. Also, I've had mine about 3 months and it has developed considerable lateral play. Tolerable so long as it doesn't get any worse, but dangerous if it does.
Review #3: Dewalt DW723 Heavy Duty Miter Stand 2007-03-12 This stand is so well made, fast and easy to set up and HEAVY DUTY. I love this tool, it supports all work from mouldings to 2 X whatever easily at a good work height to see your cuts.
Review #4: A worthwhile compromise 2007-03-03 I'm very happy I purchased a stand. Not having to work on the floor, or set up a makeshift stand, or invest in building a good stand is well worth what I paid for this stand.
This is probably a good stand for folks who need to move their saw from job site to job site. My job site is fairly stationary though so I was hoping to get something that was both as solid as a stationary work bench and something easy to move around. This stand is a compromise between the two.
My only complaint is that the two extension arms aren't as solid and stationary as the stand itself. When extended, they easily move side to side and even twist rotationally to some extent. I had high hopes that they could be used as guides as well as supports, but that really isn't the case. They cannot reasable be used to determine the position of a long board...they can only be used as supports.
Overall, I'm happy and would more than likely buy this stand again.
