Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review You'll be blown away by the light that comes from this little unit-it's amazing. It provides a bright swath of light so much bigger than what we expected. Seven super-bright, 100,000-hour light-emitting diodes LEDs mean you'll never have to replace a bulb. We love its ergonomic shape and how it feels in hand. Even with its included batteries loaded, it weighs just six ounces. A helmet clamp is available to affix it to your headgear. We think this is the perfect light for camping, for police and fire professionals, electricians, plumbers (because it's waterproof!), and homeowners for when the power fails.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Review #1: Streamlight 4AA LED 2007-03-08 I gave this unit 4 Stars instead of 5 only because Flashlight reviews say the LED can fail early due to overvoltage.. They suggest a dummy slug in the battery compartment. I use NiMH's which are about 1.31[5.24 Total] volts instead of 1.64 [6.56 Total]
It is VERY bright, a floodlight not a spotlight.
Light enough to hold in your teeth in case of dire need.
The range is about 50-60 ft max, like I said it's a floodlight.
I sell LED flashlights and have moved a few of these. Generally a good all purpose light.
Review #2: Great small flashlight!!! 2007-02-20 This flashlight has a huge amount of light for such a small package. It also uses AA batteries which last a long long time. Twenty dollars well spent Now I want another one for the boat.
Review #3: Flashlight is.................meh 2007-02-05 This is the second one of these flashlights I have purchased. The first is excellent as a rugged tool box light, durable and waterproof. The second arrived DOA with a faulty tailcap switch. This seems to be a recurring problem as stated by another reviewer. I still recommend it but keep the box and paperwork in case you need to send it back. Good thing Amazon has such a great return policy.
Review #4: Dim light that lasts a very long time! 2007-02-03 If you want a dim flashlight that lasts for a very long time, this is the light for you. For the price, the level of illumination is very poor. I have two single led flashlights that put out significantly more light than this "7-led" light. Save your money!
Review #5: Good but . . . . 2007-01-23 I ran in to the same problem that others have; the on/off switch is garbage. I had one of these for about a year, and no problem so I bought another. I used the second one about a dozen times and then the switch stopped being reliable and then quit. Two weeks later the original started doing the same thing. It still works, but I have to switch it off and on 3 or 4 times before it (usually) stays on. I really like the light other than the switch, but wouldn't buy another. |
